2018 Board Members Selected through Online Vote

Each year, Columbia Rowing Club votes on the members of the club which will take on the management responsibilities. In the late fall, members are nominated and in January, voting occurs. This typically occurs at the January Club Meeting on the third Thursday of the month.

To increase participation, CRC moved to an online vote system this year. First, nominations were accepted. These were collected by the Vice President, and were all anonymous (except to her.) The responses are shown below;

The nominees were contacted by the Vice President to ensure the member did in fact want to run for the position. Some members declined, and the ballot was assembled. Next, the voting was set up using a free online tool which allowed a single vote per email address and was anonymous. Members who were in good standing (dues paid) were invited to vote. This included 40 invitations. The vote received 30 responses, which at a 75% response rate is the highest participation rate which CRC has received for board member selection.

Based on the responses received from the Columbia Rowing Club members, the 2018 board is as follows;

Board/Club meetings are the third Thursday of each month at 6:00pm. We meet in the private room at Cafe Strudel on State Street in West Columbia. These meetings are open to the members of CRC. (Occasionally these meeting dates/locations are changed due to conflict. Check the calendar for the most recent information.)
